2016... It starts again

A few weeks ago we said good-bye to another year, 2015 and said Hello 2016! 

Every time a year comes to an end, we usually take time to reflect on everything that has happened in the past year. We can't help but think of all those special moments that caused a ripple in our lives reminding us how beautiful life can be or on those heartbreaking moments where we had to shed a tear or two. Either way, good or bad, those moments are gone and there's nothing we can do to change the past nor their outcome. We made mistakes, took things and time for granted, there were times we might have hurt those whom we love the most but a new year has just begun, another opportunity to make things better.

Another opportunity to mend those past mistakes, learn their lesson and move on. Sometimes that's the only thing that's holding us back, that keeps taking us back to our breaking point... we just can't seem to let go. Everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect and the only one that was, humanity betrayed Him and gave Him a cruel death.

Take the time to meditate on those mistakes (briefly), see past them and the take the worst of it and know that God has changed it into the very best, God has forgiven you and is giving you a change to redeem yourself. There's no going back and changing them, honey, learn to let go and move on. God has set a plan for our lives that you and I might not understand right now, we can't see it but He's working miracles in our lives. His plan has been set into motion and even if we try to change it, it won't happen. 

2016 is a new opportunity to learn from past mistakes and rest assured in the arms of the Lord. Leave your problems, your life and your future in His hands. Keep your head on high, keep on walking, don't lose your faith. This year is just starting and I can guarantee that God has great things planned for your and I, you just have to believe it. 

May this coming year bring you nothing but the most beautiful and precious blessings from heaven above and if at any moment, you must shed a tear, may you find love and peace in your heart amidst the pain. Cherish every moment as if it were the last, remember to live one day at a time.
